What it does
An Italian made folding high chair on wheels that reclines into a lounger for young babies and raises to table height for older ones, now sold under the PEG name.
- Five point harness with two shoulder strap heights and a fixed crotch restraint
- Stop and Go brake that stays locked until both buttons are held
- Double tray; the top layer goes in the dishwasher
- Three position adjustable footrest
- Folds flat and stands on its own when folded
- Mar resistant wheels and a storage net under the seat
A solid pick for families who want one chair that reclines for a newborn, rolls between rooms and folds away between meals. The trade-offs are cost and bulk: it sits at the premium end of the category, weighs about 23 lb and takes more floor space than simpler chairs.

Worth knowing
- PEG warns that children have suffered severe head injuries in falls from high chairs; always use the harness and crotch strap.
- The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.
- Do not use the reclined seat on a raised surface, and do not leave a child in the recliner with the harness loose.
- The recliner is not for sleep; move a sleeping baby to a cot.
- Use only on a flat floor, away from stairs, stoves, heaters and cords, and never carry the chair with the baby in it.
Questions
Can the Peg Perego Siesta be used from birth?
Yes, as a recliner. PEG says reclined use is for babies from birth to 6 months or 20 lb, and not once the child can sit up alone.
Can a baby sleep in the Siesta?
No. PEG says the recliner is not for long periods of sleep and is not a substitute for a cot.
Does the Siesta fold?
Yes. It folds to about 11.7 inches deep and stands on its own when folded.
Is the Siesta tray dishwasher safe?
The top layer of the double tray can go in the dishwasher, per PEG's manual.
Is Peg Perego now called PEG?
Current listings and PEG's site sell the same Siesta chair under the PEG name.
