What it does
A zip-around polyester cover with a waterproof backing that wraps all six sides of a king mattress up to 15 inches deep.
- Zips fully around the mattress instead of fitting like a sheet
- Utopia markets it as waterproof, bed bug proof and dust mite proof
- TPU backing rather than vinyl, per a hands-on review
- Machine washable; one review washed it on cold and dried on low
A budget way to seal a king mattress against spills, dust mites and bed bugs, and one hands-on test found it held a spill overnight with little noise. The trade-offs are a fiddly install on a heavy king mattress, some bunching on thinner beds, mixed reports on how fully waterproof it is, and a short warranty.
